"Success is built on daily effort, consistency, and a refusal to quit."

Colby Brochu is an articling student in MacLean Law’s Vancouver office. He completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Victoria after completing his first year at Thompson Rivers University.

During his law school journey, he was a member of the Oral Advocacy Club, Business Law Society and Intramurals, and was President of the TRU Law Animal Justice Chapter. Colby also competed in moots where he received praise from Chief Justice Marchand of the British Columbia Court of Appeal for his oral advocacy skills, adaptability, and command of the materials and authorities. These experiences fortified Colby’s interest in complex litigation.

Colby is passionate about practicing family law because it provides the opportunity to guide clients through some of the most significant and challenging transitions in their lives. He is committed to helping clients achieve fair, practical, and lasting resolutions while recognizing the unique circumstances of every family. Drawn to the strategic and analytical nature of family law, Colby enjoys developing thoughtful solutions to complex legal issues and advocating for outcomes that serve clients’ long-term interests.

In his spare time, Colby enjoys skiing too fast down mountains, hosting Survivor Fantasy Leagues, devoting weekend mornings to Formula 1, watching the latest mind-bender, and playing video games.
