PETER S. GRABURN
Peter studied Social Sciences and Business at Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec and obtained his Law degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia.
Peter was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1988 and moved to Alberta with his young family in 1991. He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1992 and has practiced law in Alberta ever since. Peter was a partner at a family law firm for a number of years before he joined MacLean Law as our senior Calgary family lawyer and head of our Calgary medium to high net worth and complex family litigation family law office.
Peter practices Family Law with a focus on complex family financial disputes and high conflict child parenting issues. He also practices Collaborative Law and Civil Litigation for medium sized businesses, serving our oil patch executives, professionals and entrepreneurs and their spouses as well as a wide group of individual and small to mid-size corporate clients.
Peter is an active participant in the community, having facilitated a number of evening courses (including Business Law, Political Science, and Economics) at Columbia College in Calgary. He has also acted as a volunteer host and guide at various ski resorts in the Alberta Rockies, and has been a coach and active supporter of his children’s various sports teams.
In his spare time, Peter enjoys skiing at Sunshine Village and Lake Louise, travelling and spending time with his wife and their two children. He has acted as tax counsel to many professionals and he is a supporter of the Calgary Polo Club.
