Robert McQueen

Robert McQueen graduated in 1992 from York University with an Honours B.A. in history. He then received his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000 and began practicing almost exclusively in all areas of Family Law. He has experience with dependent’s relief claims under the Ontario Succession Law Reform Act and Hague Convention applications and defences, custody, family property, divorce, and inter jurisdictional custody and access disputes.

Robert has appeared before the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Ontario Divisional Court (single and three panel hearings in both courts), the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Landlord Tenant Tribunal, the Ontario Racing Commission and the Child and Family Services Review Board. He has conducted trials and Appeals for both the Appellant and the Respondent under the Family Law Act, the Children’s Law Reform Act and the Child and Family Services Act. Robert McQueen is often quoted in the media on matters related to family law.

With over thirty reported cases, two cases cited in the Ontario Family Practice and one case cited in the Ontario Annual Practice, Robert brings a wealth of family law experience and expertise to the team at MacLean Law. Robert is also well respected within the courts.
