It’s good news for those wanting to make Western Canada their new home. Through the Government of Canada Provincial Nomination Program (PNP), the western provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are taking steps to increase the numbers of immigrants applying to Canada.
According to Canadian Immigration News, the BC PNP accepted 1, 114 invitations to apply across the Skills Immigration and Express Entry programs. Those people can now submit applications to the BC government for a provincial nomination certificate.

There are several skills streams that a person can apply for under the BC PNP program. They are:

- Health Care professional category
- International graduate category
- International post-graduate category
- Entry level and semi skilled category
